If anyone had thought that Imre and Peter were not
crazy very determined, they are now proven wrong.
Late last night we received another message: “To avoid dangerous daytime storms switching to nightly runs. Now waiting by big fire to start again at midnight. Bear prints everywhere.”
Shortly before midnight they started paddling again. They continued until 1 pm today, reaching Circle.
They follow a pattern: 50 minutes paddling, 10 minutes rest. They did 22 of these 1-hour cycles in the past 26 hours, for a total of 150 miles.
“Night paddling worked out well to avoid daytime thunderstorms” – Imre wrote.
