From Bove Island, Peter and Imre continued on Nares Lake to the Tagish River. This is a short passage that connects Nares Lake to Marsh Lake. They completed the day paddling along the length of Marsh Lake, reaching the end by nightfall. In total, they canoed 36mi in 11 hours today. They spent the night at the point where the lake drains into the Yukon River at the Swan Haven Interpretive Centre. There they celebrated their progress and are excited to begin canoeing on the Yukon River tomorrow morning.
Father and son don’t waste much time on the shore. They get up early, pack up their gear and get on the water as soon as they can. They can use the resting periods for eating and doing basic tasks.
You can be very proud of your progress…..enjoy the experience. Bring back life-time memories and father-son bonding.
